JK Cement Expands in Eastern India with New Buxar Plant
JK Cement took one step forward in its aggressive expansion plans by holding the groundbreaking ceremony for a Grey Cement Grinding Unit in Bihar. The project, expected to cost Rs 500 crore, is a central plank of the company's vision to strengthen its presence across Eastern India.
Dr. Nidhipati Singhania, Vice Chairman of JK Cement Ltd, and Madhavkrishna Singhania, Joint Managing Director and CEO, accompanied by other members of the senior management team, inaugurated the event. According to Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of the company, the new facility would not only enhance JK Cement's reach across India but also contribute to the overall infrastructural and economic development of Bihar.
With a proposed capacity of 3.00 MTPA, the Buxar unit will play a crucial role in balancing demand and supply in the market. The company expects this addition to help them surpass a production capacity of 30 MTPA by next year.
Madhavkrishna Singhania stressed the importance of this project in supporting the development of Bihar and neighbouring Uttar Pradesh, where JK Cement already has a strong presence.
As Bihar undergoes rapid infrastructural growth and implements large-scale projects, JK Cement’s high-quality products and innovative approach are set to play a key role in driving progress and supporting India’s broader growth agenda. This new facility marks a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to deliver superior cement solutions across the country.
