Inspiring Siblings Awakening The Innovators Of Tomorrow
BANGALORE: Technological enthusiasts, Aditi Prasad and her sibling Deepti Rao Suchindran are the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Robotix Learning Solutions.
These sisters are on a quest to arouse and awaken the forthcoming innovators of tomorrow through robotics. They grabbed this opportunity to enroot
STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills that serve as the fundamental requisite for a technology-driven future is the idea, reports Her Story.
The passion for innovation at a young age was nurtured by their father who instilled them with the teachings of scientific concepts. The seed of curiosity had been sown and the young offsprings are now donning the robes of their father in driving the inspiration in other young lives. Under their father’s guidance they are now trying to make robotics a part of young lives.
“Seeing young kids’ eyes light up when they play with cool robots and learn something that they didn’t know before is a fulfilling experience.” They said.
They opinied that due to gender bias set at an early age the chances are low with girls opting for fields that are normally dominated by boys. The lack of adequate women models in these fields makes it difficult to seek inspiration or even risk venturing out into an unlikely field.
Moreover the weight of society’s stereotypical discrimination on girls undermines the efficiency in handling STEM fields. A common research also denoted that women who had taken up STEM career paths are likely to quit early due to shortage of available amenities like childcare.
In hopes of filling the void of gender difference, they believe in inculcating concepts of STEM at an early age (pre-schooling). Alongside the hand of guidance can boost the self confidence of girls and provide assurance that they are capable of excelling in whichever fields they choose.
