Indian-American Congressman Thanedar Attends the Reception Hosted By President Biden

Indian American Congressman Thanedar attended the gala reception at the White House, hosted to celebrate the new lawmakers into the Senate of the House of Representatives for the first time.        

President Biden invited new lawmakers who were elected to the Senate of the House of Representatives firstly, honoring them over their victory in elections. Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar was prominent among the host of lawmakers from the United States Congress.

Born in 1955, Shri Shamal Thanedar is an American businessman, author, and politician, and has been actively serving as the U.S. representative from Michigan's 13th congressional district since November 2022. As a recognized member of the Democratic Party, the 67-year-old political leader holds the fame of 1st Indian-American diplomat to be elected to Congress.

Meanwhile, officials from the White House have also commented on President Biden’s invite for the new lawmakers who were elected to the Senate of the House of Representatives. The United States Congress encompasses five Indian Americans along with Thanedar, namely Mr. Amerish Babulal, often known as Ami Bera, who is an active physician and politician serving as the U.S. representative for California's 6th congressional district since 2013.

Another Congressman, Mr. Rohit Khanna, an American politician, lawyer, and academic leader, has served as the U.S. representative from California's 17th congressional district since 2017. Mrs. Pramila Jayapal, is another Indian-American democrat, serving as the U.S. representative from Washington's 7th congressional district since 2017 correspondingly. Mr. Subramanian Raja Krishnamoorthi is additionally a prominent leader, businessman, politician, and attorney, and is likely serving as the U.S. representative for Illinois's 8th congressional district since 2017.
