An Indian-American attorney was chosen as an alternate delegate to the Republican Convention, reflecting diverse representation within the party's ranks for upcoming political engagements.
Indian-American community leader and attorney Hardam Tripathi has been elected as an official alternate delegate for the Republican National Convention in Wisconsin later this month. The convention is set to formally nominate former US President Donald Trump as the party's presidential candidate. Trump, aged 78, is the presumptive Republican Party candidate for the upcoming presidential election, where he will face off against 81-year-old incumbent President Joe Biden from the Democratic Party. The Republican National Party (RNP) convention, scheduled from July 14 to 18 in Milwaukee, will be where Trump is officially nominated as the party's nominee for the November 5 presidential elections.
Hardam Tripathi said it would be his first time serving as a National Delegate at the RNC. He conveyed gratitude for representing Florida’s CD15 community, particularly the Indian-American community, emphasizing their values in rebuilding the US economy, combating crime for enhanced safety, and upholding law and liberty. Tripathi's involvement spans federal, state, and local politics, including leadership roles in the Republican Club of Lakeland and membership in the Republican National Lawyers Association.
He described Florida’s 15th Congressional District as a historic upcoming election in the United States. Tripathi currently holds the position of US Immigration Attorney and Managing Attorney at Trip Law, a prominent immigration law firm based in Florida.
He mentioned his involvement in assisting Afghan translators who had served alongside US Military Service members. Tripathi emphasized that ensuring the safety of immigrants who had worked alongside the US Armed Forces and using Immigration Law & Policy to aid others globally facing similar dire humanitarian issues were top priorities at his law firm.
