Indian NGO inspires China to fight against corruption



Bangalore: India has witness a series of scams within 2010-11, and this has forced the Indian people to adopt various anti corruption measures. Everyone from Anna Hazare, Baba Ramdev to common men has resorted to its own ways of fighting against corruption. 'I PAID A BRIBE' (IPAB) is one such initiative by the Bangalore based non-profit organization Janaagraha to show revulsion against corruption. At 'I PAID A BRIBE' (https://ipaidabribe.com/) one can share their any experience relating to bribe. The initiative was developed to stop improper gains and promote equal competition. Taking inspiration from Janaagraha Chinese people also has started posting bribe stories on a website at a site 'ibribery.com'which is an initiative by anticorruption activist in china. T.R Raghunandan who is responsible for the website I paid A bribe said that other countries have been asking them question on our model they have recoded 20,000 hits on their website from Chinese citizens. The Indian website has three sections I paid a bribe, I didn't pay a bribe, I didn't have to pay a bribe and I don't want to pay a bribe and you can share any experience connected to bribe. The aim of Chinese site is to bring forth the amount of corruption under the Chinese government and to invite the users to describe the amount of the bribe and the situations. The sites attracted more than 60,000 visitors in the first three days as many were seen sharing their bribe stories. In spite of the different political environment and structure, this technological initiative against corruption has wooed many countries around the world as corruption is a living evil in our lives which every common man wants to stand for and this can be the correct platform that we all had been searching for to voice our concerns. The Chinese Ministry of Supervision has confirmed that the government is aware of the website,however they refused many any comments.
