The India-US technology partnership, particularly focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Quantum, was a key topic during the meeting between Taranjit Singh Sandhu, the Indian Ambassador to the US, and Arvind Krishna, CEO of the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM). The discussions took place at India House. "Delighted to meet ArvindKrishna, CEO IBM at India House, and exchange ideas on India-US tech partnership, new and emerging technologies incl AI and Quantum, and IBM's education & skilling initiatives in India", Sandhu posted on 'X'.
IBM is an American multinational technology corporation headquartered in Armonk, New York. It is present in over 175 countries. Meanwhile, the Indian envoy recently expressed his delight in attending the launch of the first made-in-India bicycles in a Walmart store in America. Taking to X, Sandhu said, "Make in India, Make for the World! Delighted to witness the launch of Walmart in the US's first made-in-India bicycles, manufactured by HeroCycles".
Walmart recently revealed the introduction of the inaugural batch of bicycles manufactured in India, now available in chosen US stores just in time for the holiday season. Hero Ecotech Ltd., a prominent Indian bicycle manufacturer and exporter, has crafted a "cruiser-style" bike under the Concord brand for Walmart. These bicycles, offered in both men's and women's adult sizes, contribute to Walmart's expanding range of bicycle products.
Hero Ecotech Ltd. is just one of several Indian manufacturers establishing supplier partnerships with Walmart, aiding the company in achieving its objective to triple annual exports from India to USD 10 billion by 2027. Walmart's dedication to the Indian market is well-established, as the company has been consistently exporting products across various categories.
