India-Central Asian Foreign Ministers speak in one voice against cross-border terror & terror proxies

In a joint effort against terror, India and five Central Asian nations Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan firmly condemned cross-border terror as well as the deployment of terror surrogates at the 4th India-Central Asia Dialogue in New Delhi.
The Foreign Ministers of the six countries made a common statement condemning the latest act of terrorism at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. The ministers reasserted their resolve to fight terrorism in all its manifestations and called for justice against those responsible for planning, financing, or sponsoring acts of terrorism.
The joint statement called for the urgent adoption of the UN Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism and the complete implementation of applicable UN Security Council resolutions. The statement also highlighted the necessity of compliance with the Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and Financial Action Task Force (FATF) standards.
Emphasizing the need for concerted worldwide action, the ministers pressed for greater cooperation within UN-sponsored counter-terrorism efforts. The joint statement represents a major milestone towards increasing security and anti-terror cooperation between Central Asia and India.
The exchange reflected increasing strategic convergence in the region with a common emphasis on promoting peace, stability, and mutual prosperity through firm action against terrorism.
