The head of the US delegation to Aero India, Chargé d’Affaires’ Ambassador, Mrs. A. Elizabeth Jones, quoted that India and the United States are strengthening their cooperation, especially on critical technologies, extending from space components to semiconductors. Mrs. Jones is the head of the largest-ever US Delegation to Aero India.

Referring to the US-India strategic partnership as one of the most consequential relationships, the US delegation, alongside the diplomatic and security cooperation is growing on an exponential note between the two nations. Mrs. Jones said that both nations are working together with an established synergy, ensuring a free and open, prosperous, connected, and resilient Indo-Pacific region.

The alliance critically aims at addressing climate change, improvising global health, and preparing and building resilience over pandemic scenarios, in addition to extended cooperation on cyber challenges. Similarly, building quality infrastructure and ensuring sustainable supply chains are major goals of this robust partnership between the US and India.

The Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs, Jedidiah P Royal, leads the US delegation of senior US government officials from the Department of Defense. He addressed that these established partnerships have likely generated tens of thousands of jobs in India, enabling critical transfers of technology and manufacturing expertise to the nation. US companies are establishing integrated engineering centers and manufacturing hubs and investments in building R&D centers, harnessing incredibly talented scientists and engineers for the critical advancement of cutting-edge projects.

The common vision shared by both India and the US is for a free and open Indo-Pacific space. World-class events like Aero India are meticulously strengthening this shared goal, for a robust in-person engagement with increased trust and understanding. Alongside this, the Senior Defense Official and Defense Attaché at the US Embassy in New Delhi also underlined the significance of the partnership between the democratic nations, where the American Air power will be operated along with the Indian Air Force at venues around Bengaluru.

An F-16 Fighting Falcon duo, critically one of the United States Air Force’s (USAF) leading fighter jets, is considered the highlight throughout Aero India 2023 and is anticipated to conduct daily aerial demonstrations. The US Navy’s advanced frontline carrier-based and multi-role strike fighter, F/A-18E, and F/A-18F Super Hornet are all set for a static display. Ambassador Mrs. Jones will open the USA Partnership Pavilion at Aero India 2023 today, where leading US defense companies are expected to undertake participation including the Aero Metals Alliance, Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), and Astronautics Corporation of America.
