India Strikes Back After Pakistan Attacks

India has successfully responded to an early morning attack by Pakistan Air Force aircraft on Srinagar. This comes after several drone attacks carried out by Pakistan in Indian border districts on Friday night and Saturday morning were intercepted by India's air defense system.

There were explosions in different places, including the airport area of Srinagar, Samba, Jammu city, Baramulla, Pathankot, Ferozepur, and Barmer, causing blackouts in border areas.

In a tragic turn of events, Additional District Commissioner of Rajouri, Raj Kumar Thappa, and two other civilians were killed when Pakistan heaved heavy shells into the DC colony. Thappa was critically injured when one shell hit his residence and he later died due to his injuries. Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah extended condolences, as seen in videos showing the property being destroyed on Thappa's house.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will address the press today at 10:30 am during Operation Sindoor, in the wake of the recent spike in tensions. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had earlier condemned Pakistan's "farcical denials" of hitting Indian military targets, claiming that India has reacted "proportionately" to the challenges.
