India Further Bans 118 Other Chinese Apps Including PubG

The Indian government continues to ban 118 other Chinese apps, as the tension prevails at the India-China border. The government's decision to block the Chinese apps from its huge domestic market in order to strike back against China. 
Post the border clash occurred in June, India banned nearly 59 mobile apps that include Shareit, TikTok, Tencent's, and many more. 
Further, India's ban on 118 Chinese apps would restrict Indians from accessing it. The banned apps also include the most popular video game PubG, which has more than 50 million players in India. Other banned apps include Alipay, WeChat, Baidu are being operated by Chinese Internet companies Ant Financial and Tencent that have a huge market in India. 
Sonit Jain, CEO, GajShield Infotech states, "Understanding the severity of recent major incidents on the border, the announced ban on the list of Chinese apps puts out a bold statement by the Government that it will not compromise on national security and calls out more Indian developers with a stronger Vocal for Local sentiment. These Indian developed apps will not only replace the banned apps but will also ensure stronger security, better user policies, and personal data protection compliances."
The Government did not associate the ban on Chinese application with the ongoing border fight. Instead, it has announced that the Indian's personal data are being stolen through these applications and hence the country is banning these applications. While the Indian soldiers' death has been reported in the media. But, the government has not provided any information over the issue or even confirmed the loss of soldiers.
