IIT Guwahati & Samagra Shiksha Assam Host Mega Science, Maths Olympiad
In a significant stride towards fostering scientific curiosity and mathematical proficiency among students in Assam, the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Assam, organized a mammoth Science and Maths Olympiad, touted as one of the largest in the country. 
Drawing participation from over 1.14 lakh students representing 3,828 schools across the state, the event aimed to nurture talent, stimulate critical thinking, and augment problem-solving abilities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects.
Through a gamut of rigorous competitions and engaging activities, students were propelled to delve into the captivating realms of STEM, thereby enriching their knowledge, igniting creativity, and broadening their understanding.
Professor Parameswar K. Iyer, Dean PRBR at IIT Guwahati, lauded the successful organization of the Olympiad and the collaborative efforts with the education department of Assam. He emphasized IIT Guwahati's commitment to bolstering STEM activities across the state and promoting them through vibrant initiatives like Olympiads. The event not only provided a platform for showcasing talent but also served as a catalyst for instilling a passion for STEM disciplines among the youth of Assam.
