IIT Delhi Hosts Programme on India-US Strategic Partnership

IIT Delhi, in collaboration with the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), hosted a significant event focused on strengthening the India-US strategic partnership. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, highlighted the institute’s extensive collaborations with American institutions, emphasizing ongoing bilateral efforts. He noted that out of IIT Delhi's 4,000+ publications last year, over 25% involved international collaborators, with the US contributing the highest share of 8%.
Jake Sullivan, US National Security Advisor, delivered a keynote address on 'The United States and India: Building a Shared Future', before an audience that included US Embassy officials, industry representatives, IIT Delhi faculty, and students. His address underscored the progress of the India-US partnership and laid the groundwork for enhanced academic and technological collaborations between the two nations.
Dean of Academics, Narayanan D. Kurur, reflected on the significance of US Ambassador Eric Garcetti's first visit and Sullivan's final visit to India as US NSA, marking key moments in this evolving partnership.
The event spotlighted IIT Delhi's leadership in cutting-edge research and innovation, with ongoing partnerships with US academia and industry poised for expansion. These collaborations aim to foster greater investment in India’s startup ecosystem and drive joint research initiatives, further strengthening bilateral ties.
