IHCL CEO Puneet Chhatwal Re-elected as FAITH Chairman

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO of Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), has been re-elected as the chairman of the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH) for the term 2024-2026. The elections for the industry body concluded with the results announced by returning officer Homa Mistry, with all candidates elected unopposed.
Alongside Chhatwal, Ajeet Bajaj and Ajay Prakash were elected as vice chairmen, Rajiv Mehra as general secretary, and Kanwarjit Singh Sawhney as treasurer.
In a statement, General Secretary Rajiv Mehra expressed commitment on behalf of the newly elected office bearers to work cohesively for the benefit of the tourism and hospitality industry. "We assure to achieve the targets set by the honorable prime minister", he said. He emphasized the significant potential of tourism and hospitality in generating employment and contributing to the country's economy, stating, 'It would be our endeavor to fulfill this potential".
FAITH serves as the Policy Federation for ten national associations in India, representing the entire tourism and hospitality sector. These associations include ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI, and TAFI, along with Cause Partner AIRDA.
The federation was established to provide a collective industry voice aimed at fostering growth in India's tourism, travel, and hospitality sectors.
