Hitachi Appointed Indian MD, Bharat Kaushal as Executive Chairman
Hitachi, the Japanese multinational conglomerate, has announced the appointment of Bharat Kaushal as its new executive chairman, effective April 1, 2025. Kaushal, who has been serving as the managing director of Hitachi in India since 2017, is notable for being the first Indian to hold this position. In addition to his new role, he will continue to serve as the acting managing director of Hitachi India and as a corporate officer responsible for regional strategies in India.
Bharat Kaushal brings a wealth of experience from various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, healthcare, e-education, financial inclusion, and urban mobility. He expressed his enthusiasm for the new position, emphasizing the significant responsibilities it entails in shaping a forward-looking strategy for Hitachi's growth in India.
