Hero MotoCorp Joins Government's ONDC Network as First Auto Firm
Hero MotoCorp, a leading manufacturer of two-wheelers, announced its participation in the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) Network, a government initiative aimed at bolstering the Digital India mission. This makes Hero MotoCorp the inaugural automotive company to join the network.
In a recent development, the company has highlighted that this collaboration will enhance accessibility and convenience for consumers, extending the reach of digital services. This move underscores the commitment to providing a seamless digital experience to customers.
"Now with ONDC Network, we have pioneered the automotive taxonomy for the auto industry, making it easier for customers to find vehicle parts and accessories to begin with", Niranjan Gupta, CEO, Hero MotoCorp, said in a statement. He further added that with this initiative, Hero MotoCorp is taking forward the government's Digital India mission and "we will continue to bring in more innovation in this space".
In its initial phase, the ONDC platform is set to feature two-wheeler parts, accessories, and merchandise. The company has outlined that consumers will be able to conveniently access genuine parts from the renowned two-wheeler giant through various buyer apps integrated with the network, including Paytm and Mystore, among others.

Hero MotoCorp has expressed its readiness to deliver an enhanced purchasing experience to its extensive customer base of over 115 million with the introduction of the ONDC Network.
