In a huge move the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is giving a compensation of 1 rupee for every call drop with a daily cap of 3 calls. Consumers will now be compensated for call drop which is a menace that has reached significant proportions forcing policymakers to sit up and take notice. This move will ensure better quality of service by telcos.

In the wake of recent pollution crisis in the capital, Delhi Government has bought in the odd-even rule in the capital to curb the movement of polluting vehicles. Private vehicles will be allowed to run on the streets on alternate days depending on whether their licence plates end in even or odd numbers, the government declared a day after it faced criticism from the Delhi high court over the city’s mounting pollution problem.
Petrol/Diesel Prices Slashed:

Petrol price has been cut by 63 paise per litre, while diesel rate was lowered by
1.06 a litre on the back of a softening global oil market. After this revision, petrol will cost
59.35 per litre in Delhi, as against
59.98 currently, whereas a litre of diesel will cost
45.03 as against
46.09.
