Filmboard Wins Prestigious 'Startup50 Trailblazer' Award from Dun & Bradstreet

After winning National Startup Awards 2022, Filmboard is selected as a Startup50 Trailblazer for its innovative and quality approach.

Filmboard, the world's first marketplace for film resources and widely accepted as a world pioneer, has recently won the ‘Startup 50 Trailblazer Award’ - at the inaugural edition of the Dun & Bradstreet LEAP India Startup Summit, 2023 in Bangalore. The Dun & Bradstreet LEAP India Startup Summit was organised to recognise and acknowledge the significant role of start-ups in the Indian economy. Dun &  Bradstreet, which is a leading international supplier of business information and research, awarded top startups in India evaluated by an august jury as ‘StartUp 50 Trailblazers’ for their exceptional achievements. These start-ups were awarded for their unique business models, innovative solutions to crucial problems, and the competitive edge they bring to their respective industries. Given the growing relevance of digitisation, the startups awarded also showcased strong expertise in technology and a clear path to profitability.

In addition to winning the Startup 50 Trailblazer Award, Filmboard, had recently also received the National Startup Awards in 2022 as the winner in Media and Entertainment. The National Startup Awards, under Startup India, was presented by Honourable Minister Piyush Goyal in January 2023.

Started by awarded filmmaker Sandeep Varma (Manjunath, The Disguise) along with his BITS Pilani batchmate Rajesh Butta (serial entrepreneur), Filmboard is seeking to disrupt the 25bn$ audio-visual content creation industry in India to make it easier and more efficient to make feature films, web series, ad films and short films. Given that there is no like-to-like model like Filmboard even in Europe and the US, Filmboard is expected to launch in the developed markets after it settles down in India. It has recently launched its new state-of-the-art website with a new tech stack and revamped UI/ UX, which it expects to automate a lot of the film resource booking processes. In addition, Filmboard is also using AI and other disruptive technologies to develop and launch unique tech tools to facilitate the process of filmmaking in the coming months. Big production houses and banners such as T series, Wakaso films, Victor Tango, and RoyKapur Films are already using the platform to find their resources for prestigious projects such as Mukhbir - the story of a spy (Zee5), The Diplomat (Feature film with John Abraham), RRR and Animal (Ranbir Kapoor).

Filmboard has also been getting top international talent into India to work on Indian projects at affordable fees for Indian production houses.
