FanCode Secures MotoGP Digital Streaming Rights in India

FanCode, India's digital destination for sports, has bolstered its motorsport portfolio with the acquisition of exclusive digital streaming rights for MotoGP. This three-year deal further cements FanCode's position as a platform for motorsport fans, building on the success of Formula 1 streaming.
In March 2023, Viacom18, which has since merged with Star India to form Jio Star, won the media rights deal for exclusive MotoGP live streaming and broadcasting on JioCinema and Sports18 in India, starting with the Grande Premio Tissot de Portugal.
According to FanCode, there is a growing trend of MotoGP popularity in India over the past years, buoyed by an increasing fan base and the renewed Indian Grand Prix that will make a comeback this 2023 season. Industry reports indicate that the audience for motorsport in India has increased by more than 30% in the past five years, with MotoGP becoming one of the top choices among young fans. It welcomed over 1 lakh spectators, underlining MotoGP's prospects in one of the fastest-growing sports markets.
The roster in MotoGP consists of top riders, including six-time champion Marc Marquez, two-time champion Francesco Bagnaia, champion in 2021 Fabio Quartararo, and current champion Jorge Martin. Their battles and racing captivated fans globally and made every race an event to watch.
