Experts Praise RIL & Adani Group Collaboration for MP Power Project
Founders of homegrown AI and tech startups commend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiatives aimed at democratizing technology and extending the benefits of digital public infrastructure (DPI) to even the remotest villages. Sanket Shah, CEO of the AI-based video creation platform Invideo, emphasized the significant strides India has taken under PM Modi's leadership to revolutionize digital infrastructure. He highlighted India's position as a leading adopter of technology, attributing it to indigenous innovations like Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Aadhaar. Shah expressed optimism about India becoming a global technology leader in the coming years.
Tapan Sangal from MAI Lab echoed Shah's sentiments, emphasizing the importance of technology democratization in fostering health, education, and economic empowerment. He praised PM Modi's vision of ensuring inclusivity in the digital transformation, leading India toward a future where no citizen is left behind. DPIs like UPI and Aadhaar are forecasted to drive India toward an $8 trillion economy by 2030, aiding in achieving the target of a $1 trillion digital economy, according to a recent Nasscom report. PM Modi's discussions with Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates covered various critical topics such as AI and India's advancements in digital technology, as well as the nation's proactive approach to addressing climate change.
Sumit Singh, Co-founder and CEO of GenAI-based Martech platform DashLoc, highlighted the government's efforts in developing digital infrastructure across sectors beyond IT. Initiatives like e-Kranti for farmers and enhancements at railway stations demonstrate the government's commitment to bridging the digital divide. Additionally, there are several AI initiatives aiming to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas, showcasing the government's anticipation of future needs. Mudit Dandwate, co-founder and CEO of the remote patient monitoring platform Dozee, emphasized the transformative potential of technology in sectors like agriculture and healthcare. He highlighted India's role in driving global transformation and expressed gratitude for the entrepreneurial opportunities in the country.
