Eric Garcetti Calls for Stronger US-India Partnership in Defense and Global Peace Efforts

During a keynote address at a defense news conclave at the United Services Institution (USI) in Delhi, US envoy Eric Garcetti emphasized that in an interconnected world, "no war is distant anymore." He asserted the importance of standing for peace and also taking concrete actions to ensure that those who violate peaceful rules cannot continue their war efforts unabated. There exists a need for both the US and India to understand this necessity together. Forging a stronger partnership between India and the U.S. presents them as a leading force for good in the world.
During his address, Garcetti described India-US ties as deep, ancient, and increasingly broad, particularly due to the culmination of these ties in the form of defense partnerships.
