It’s shocking to note such incidences in life, to quote the ‘death detail” is highly painful but to give them a tribute is our soul courtesy. With silence in mind and sympathy’s in heart, here is the list of 10 sportsmen who died on the field as compiled by MENSXP.

1. Phillip Hughes, Cricket

Phillip Joel Hughes was an Australian Test and One-Day International cricketer. On 25 November 2014, Hughes was hit in the neck by a bouncer, during a Sheffield Shield match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, causing a vertebral artery dissection that led to a subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Hughes was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, where he underwent surgery, was placed into an induced coma and was in intensive care in a critical condition. He died on 27 November, having never regained consciousness, three days before his 26th birthday.
