EAM Jaishankar to Inaugurate Global Technology Summit 2025 Today
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will give the inaugural address at the ninth edition of the Global Technology Summit (GTS) on Thursday, April 10. The summit, India's leading forum for geo-technology discussions, is jointly hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Carnegie India. It will take place from April 10 to 12 in New Delhi.
As per a release by the MEA, GTS 2025 will host leaders from government, industry, academia, and civil society to define global dialogue on technology policy. The theme of this year, 'Sambhavna' possibility centers around how new technologies can enable inclusive growth, improve digital governance, and create resilient international partnerships.
The summit will, over the period of three days, accommodate over 40 public sessions, ranging from keynote speeches, ministerial-level deliberations, expert panels, and strategic discussions. Over 150 speakers drawn from over 40 nations, such as the US, UK, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Brazil, the UAE, and Nigeria, will participate in deliberations discussing main global technology challenges and opportunities.
Agenda topics cover AI regulation, digital public infrastructure, and data protection to cybersecurity, space security, and technology cooperation in the Global South.
The summit will also highlight the future leaders in tech through the GTS Young Ambassadors Programme. This program will enable Indian students and young professionals from all over India to engage in important policy debates on responsible AI, digital futures, and international tech norms.
GTS 2025 will be a vibrant platform for promoting innovation, cooperation, and strategic discussion in a changing global technology environment.
