Drone Destination and NSIC Launch Advanced Drone Training Centre

Drone Destination and the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a cutting-edge drone training centre at NSIC, New Delhi. This collaborative initiative aims to offer extensive training in drone technology, encompassing repairs and maintenance, data processing and analysis, remote pilot training, and innovative applications like sport drone soccer.
The establishment of this centre underscores a strategic focus on skill development, employment generation, and bolstering India's drone ecosystem. It seeks to address the burgeoning demand for skilled manpower in sectors such as digital agriculture, surveying and mapping, mining, asset inspection, surveillance and monitoring, and disaster management.
Mr. Chirag Sharma, CEO of Drone Destination, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its pivotal role in democratizing drone technology across India. "This collaboration with NSIC marks a significant milestone in our mission to democratize drone technology in India," Sharma stated. He emphasized the importance of specialized training programs in empowering individuals and organizations to leverage drones effectively.
Drone Destination already offers Pilot Training Certification courses at 12 locations nationwide, and Sharma affirmed that the new initiative will further enhance technical skills to meet the growing demands of India's drone ecosystem.
Kartikeya Sinha, Director of Planning & Marketing at NSIC, reiterated the corporation's commitment to fostering skill development across various sectors. "This MoU aligns perfectly with our objectives to empower youth and women in technology," Sinha noted. He highlighted the centre's role in equipping individuals with essential skills to contribute to a more technologically advanced and self-reliant India.
The training programs at the drone centre will be progressively introduced across all NSIC Technical Skill Centres, ensuring widespread access to cutting-edge drone education. This initiative is poised to create numerous opportunities for skill development and employment, driving economic growth and innovation in the drone sector.
This collaboration between Drone Destination and NSIC represents a significant step forward in harnessing drone technology to its fullest potential in India, promising to shape the future of the industry and workforce alike.
