Dhoni's brain to be mapped for a new course at IIM-R

Bangalore: Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM-R) is planning to examine Team India's captain MS Dhoni's brain, reports Anupam Sheshank of Times of India. In an attempt to venture into neuro management, the business school is contemplating on mapping the brain of India's most successful captain to understand the reasons for his success as a leader of team India. IIM-Ranchi wants to take Dhoni's mental health to the next level and is in the process of partnering with the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) in Ranchi to start the new course. The results of Dhoni's brain map study will be the precursor to a full-fledged neuro-management course. The article reports that Dhoni has been sent an invitation and the institute is waiting for his reply. It has also quoted the Director of IIM Ranchi MJ Xavier as saying, "The study of biological reactions and people's animal instincts mixed with management theories will not only create better managers, but also better human beings." IIM-R believes neuromarketing can be employed for design of products and services, packaging and branding.
