Dhanlaxmi Bank Appoints Ajith Kumar KK as MD and CEO
Dhanlaxmi Bank has appointed Ajith Kumar KK as its new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 20, 2024. The decision was ratified during a board meeting held, as disclosed in the bank's regulatory filing.
Ajith Kumar KK brings over 36 years of comprehensive banking experience to the role, having served in various capacities at Federal Bank. His expertise spans Credit, Human Resources, Business Development, and Branch Banking. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Federal Bank, in the cadre of President.
His appointment, approved by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as of April 18, is set for a three-year tenure. Dhanlaxmi Bank will seek shareholder approval for his appointment as per the requirements of the Companies Act, 2013, and the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) regulations within the stipulated timeframe.
Kumar's extensive background and leadership in the banking sector are expected to guide Dhanlaxmi Bank through its next phase of growth and operational excellence.
