Delhi Police Launched A Trial Version Of The Mobile App Delhi Police one Touch Away



BENGALURU: The Delhi Police’s awareness on mobile based service continues, as the respective department has launched an all-service andriod application to avoid operational delays. This is the second significant step taken by the department in providing smartphone based service to the people of Delhi. Earlier this month, Delhi Police had launched an Android application to apply for a character certificate within the city limits, as reported by the Indian Express.

According to the Delhi Police chief BS Bassi, this app is intended to provide all possible services on a single app to reduce public hassles with police administration. Bassi said while addressing the media  “Our endeavor has been to identify areas where newer means can help in reducing public inconvenience and consequent dissatisfaction with police functioning. One such area for the public is how to reach police in various situations, The app will facilitate access to all services provided by Delhi Police with just one touch.”

This one touch app is currently available only on Google Play Stores for Android users and department has plans to introduce the application for iPhone users too in the near future. The app covers all online and mobile services, like the names of the police officers, their respective designation and contact numbers. Further features are, list of missing people, criminals and wanted terrorists, with pertaining photographs and other details.

This app also allows to share or upload any photos, videos and documents that can come under the police investigation.
