2. Patricia Narayan, An Enterprising Spirit

Praveen Rajkumar’s greatest inspiration is his mother Patricia Narayan, who won the 'FICCI Woman Entrepreneur of the Year’ award on 2010.

She started her business by selling eateries on a mobile cart on the Marina beach Chennai.

Patricia’s aim was to take care of her family and ensure that her children grow up without seeing any rough side of their living. Along with selling coffee and tea on the beachside, she started selling pickles and jams as a side business.

After few years of successful business, National Institute of Port Management recognized her work and appointed her as a fulltime employee.

According to Praveen Rajkumar, the son of Patricia, her strength lies in her straightforwardness.
