CBI Shifts Officer Probing Adarsh Scam

Mumbai: CBI Joint Director Rishi Raj, who was handling Adarsh Housing scam, was today transferred from Anti-Corruption Branch to its Economic Offences Wing.

A 1985-batch IPS officer from Kerala cadre was transferred a day after the CBI filed charge sheet in the Adarsh Housing scam in which former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan was among 13 named.

The CBI said that the transfers were a routine matter and Rishi Raj was shifted after he completed his tenure of four years.

Keshav Kumar, a 1986 batch IPS officer from Gujarat cadre, will be taking over from Rishi Raj.
