At an initiative by the Confederation of Indian Industry, American Congressman Steve Chabot stated that the US and India have greatly benefited from the increasing geostrategic partnership.

The growing geostrategic partnership has provided enormous benefits for the United States and India, an American Congressman remarked during the visit of Indian corporate sector leaders.

Congressman Steve Chabot, a co-chair of the House India Caucus, stated in his address that to ensure that the world's two most significant democracies maintain their great relationship going forward into the future. He addressed the people at a reception launched by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for a visiting delegation of Indian CEOs.

As a prominent member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific and a great advocate of the India-US relationship, Steve Chabot noted the role of corporate sector leaders in strengthening the countries’ relationship.

From defense allies to the growing Indian American diaspora, the US-India relationship has radically grown into an increasingly profound and multifaceted partnership. The countries hope for more robust growth in the bilateral relationship, and the ties become crucial as the nations are the oldest and largest democracies in the world.

Chabot asserted that the United States and India have immensely benefited from a burgeoning strategic partnership. The flagship initiative of this is the QUAD, which joins the countries of the Indo-Pacific region to encourage a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

India's Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, also remarked that the Indian tech industry had invested more than 1.5 billion USD in the US. This indicates that bilateral trade has been vastly escalating each year, irrespective of no free trade agreement between the two nations.

He added that the CEO present at the event represents India's success story, highlighting that the true energy comes from the private sector. Sandhu also commented that the government is a facilitator. The CII Indian corporate leaders delegation also has a defense delegation.

CII Director General, Chandarjit Banerjee, stated that the Indian business delegation is in the area to explore avenues of working together. Sanjeev Bajaj, CII president, also noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the India-US relationship and that businesses play a significant role in this relationship.
