BMW Launches New S 1000 XR Motorcycle in India Priced at Rs 22.5 Lakh
German luxury vehicle manufacturer BMW has introduced its latest motorcycle, the S 1000 XR, in India with an ex-showroom price of Rs 22,50,000. The new model is offered in three striking color options: Blackstorm Metallic, Gravityblue Metallic (with Style Sports), and Lightwhite Solid Paint/Motorsport (with M Package). Available as a completely built-up unit (CBU), the S 1000 XR is now open for bookings at all BMW Motorrad India authorized dealerships.
Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India, emphasized the motorcycle's blend of long-distance capability and high performance. "The new BMW S 1000 XR is the ultimate symbiosis of long-distance capability and high-performance in a sport bike", Pawah stated. "Improved in all key areas, this motorcycle offers superior, sporty riding pleasure even if the journey is long. Chase as many bends as you like – you alone decide when the ride ends".
The BMW S 1000 XR is powered by a reworked in-line 4-cylinder engine designed to enhance performance with flow-optimized geometry for the intake channels. This engine generates a peak output of 170 hp (125 kW) at 11,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm. The motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.25 seconds and reaches a top speed of 253 km/h.
To cater to long-distance travelers and sport bike enthusiasts alike, the new S 1000 XR comes equipped with expanded standard features. This includes the Touring and Dynamic packages, which provide the necessary equipment for extended trips while also enhancing performance and comfort.
