BharatPe Names Nalin Negi as Chief Executive Officer
BharatPe, a leading fintech company, has announced the elevation of Nalin Negi as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. Negi, who previously served as interim CEO and CFO, played a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and achieving significant milestones.
During Negi's tenure, BharatPe witnessed remarkable success, recording a 182 per cent increase in revenue from operations in FY23. Notably, October marked the company's first EBITDA positive month, reflecting its strong financial performance under Negi's leadership.
With Negi's extensive experience in the fintech industry, BharatPe aims to capitalize on its momentum and further empower merchants nationwide. Rajnish Kumar, Chairman of the Board at BharatPe, expressed confidence in Negi's leadership, citing his instrumental role in the company's growth.
In his new role as CEO, Negi will steer BharatPe into its next phase of development, focusing on innovation and driving financial inclusion. He emphasized the strategic priorities of achieving sustained profitability, scaling lending businesses, and launching merchant-centric products to deliver value to stakeholders.
Negi brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having held senior leadership roles at prominent financial service companies such as SBI Cards and GE Capital. His appointment underscores BharatPe's commitment to leveraging its entrenched network of over 1.3 crore merchants across 450 cities and advancing its position as a key player in UPI offline transactions, processing over 370 million UPI transactions.
As BharatPe continues its growth trajectory, Negi's leadership is poised to guide the company towards further success in the dynamic fintech landscape.
