Krishnapuram Palace

It was constructed in the 18th century by Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma, the ruler of the Travancore kingdom. The palace is taken care of by the Kerala State Department of Archaeology and contains antiques that belonged to the Maharaja of Travancore. Also, there is a tunnel from the bottom of the pond that can be used to flee from enemies.

The palace is 131 kilometres from Cochin International Airport and 48 kilometres from Alleppey Railway Station. It is a must-visit place to spend time and also to understand the past stories behind it, which is worthwhile. Even so, there are many other places in this district.
