Founded in 1999, Los Angeles' Hollywood Book Festival hosts a competition to highlight literary works that deserve recognition from film, television, game and multimedia communities. Submissions can range from published and self-published works in the genre of fiction, non-fiction, children’s books etc. Unpublished works are also accepted in the field of science fiction, biography/autobiography, sequels, screenplays and history.

Vancouver International Writers’ festival—

Vancouver International Writers’ Festival brings people together to share thoughts and ideas apart from witnessing brilliant conversations.  Held annually in October on Granville Island the Writers’ Fest offers a forum for authors to connect with readers from different age groups with the common habit – the love for reading. The festival also hosts a bi-monthly reading series at the Vancouver Public Library.
