Apple Launches Store App in India for a Personalised Shopping Experience
Apple has launched its official Apple Store app in India and gave an opportunity to the people of India to shop directly from the tech giant with a customised and seamless shopping experience. Now, the much-awaited app is available for free download on App Store; this allows the users to learn more about the innovative product lineup from Apple and get personalized suggestions.
The launch comes after Apple had opened its two flagship stores in India, the first two ever in Delhi and Mumbai, during April 2023. According to the report, the tech giant has planned to extend its retail store footprint further in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.
"At Apple, our customer is at the centre of everything we do, and we are thrilled to introduce the Apple Store app to reach even more users in India, further deepening our connections", said Karen Rasmussen, Apple's Head of Retail Online.
The app is designed to enhance customer engagement with features such as a ‘For You’ tab that offers timely and relevant product recommendations and the ability to save or favourite items for quick access. Additionally, the ‘Go Further’ tab connects users with Apple Specialists for personal setup sessions and expert support.
Customers can further customise their order, such as upgrading the configurations of Mac with engraving choices on devices from AirPods, iPads, and even Apple Pencil with names and initials in more than eight different languages. Apple will introduce sending digital gift message scheduling, another personalization approach.
The prominent retail programs have been listed above, which involves Apple Trade-In and financing capabilities, all keeping the Indian consumers' experience totally seamless.
Apple has seen significant growth in the Indian market, for the first time breaking into the top five smartphone brands, capturing almost 10% market share by volume in Q4 2024, says Counterpoint Research. The company's domestic production increased by 46% year on year, assembling iPhones worth $14 billion in FY24, and exporting more than $10 billion worth of devices.
The Apple Store app is in line with Apple's strategy to further strengthen its presence in India, which is a key growth market. It is a one-stop shop for customers to shop, learn about products, and get expert support-all of which reflect Apple's commitment to delivering world-class service.
For more information, the app is now available on the App Store for all iOS users across India.
