An Indian American To Take Over as the Department’s Spokesperson of the State

An Indian-American, Vedant Patel, will likely take over as the US State Department’s Spokesperson, succeeding Ned Price.               

The US State Department’s Spokesperson Ned Price will be succeeded by Indian-American Vedant Patel. Mr. Price, often known for commencing daily press briefings, has held almost 200 press briefings in his period and was widely appreciated for his deference towards colleagues and journalists. President Biden’s administration is yet to release an official statement about the replacement of Mr. Price, while Mr. Patel has already been summoned of the responsibilities in the interim.

The new Indian-American Spokesperson, Mr. Vedant Patel, 33, was born in Gujarat, India graduated from the University of California, Riverside, has made enormous contributions to varied political campaigns, and was assigned various roles in the White House. He has sharpened skills in managing media relations and communication strategy, and thus, has served as the Assistant Press Secretary and Spokesperson for President Biden.  

Mr. Patel also served as the spokesperson of the Presidential Inaugural Committee, crafting the incoming administration's messaging and image. His other contributions include serving as a Communications Director for various political campaigns like Congressman Mike Honda and Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and is often referred to as the valuable asset of the Democratic Party.

Mr. Patel expressed his gratitude for the nomination, sharing his surprise over the efficient handling of responsibilities by Mr. Ned Price. He states that he was honored to serve alongside Mr. Price in the past, which in turn, kindled perfection in his role.
