Amity University has unveiled the School of AI, calling it the world’s first institution designed to make artificial intelligence education accessible and practical for professionals across sectors. The launch comes as AI reshapes industries and demand for AI skills grows rapidly.
The India Skills Report 2026 shows that while India’s employability has climbed to 56.35%, only one in five young people has pursued AI-related training. With automation expanding across industries, Amity aims to upskill India’s largest untapped AI-ready group, non-technical professionals.
India holds 16% of the global AI talent pool, and Amity’s new initiative intends to translate that expertise into real outcomes for sectors such as healthcare, BFSI, HR, and education. The School of AI will help learners understand how AI improves productivity and decision-making in workplaces, classrooms, hospitals, and leadership roles.
The school offers 11 short certificate programs designed for non-technical learners. Each course blends self-paced study with live sessions held every two weeks, led by AI practitioners and industry specialists. The curriculum focuses on practical applications instead of coding, teaching learners how to use AI tools in their own fields.

Ajit Chauhan, Chairman of Amity University Online, said AI is changing job roles, teaching methods, and workplace expectations. “Through the School of AI, we want to humanize AI education and make it useful for teachers, doctors, HR teams, CEOs, and anyone who can benefit from intelligent tools”, he said. “Our goal is to make every learner fluent in AI, not as a technical language, but as a human one”.
By expanding access to AI skills, Amity hopes to democratize intelligent technologies and help professionals work smarter, think creatively, and reduce stress while keeping human learning at the center.
