  • The MoU aims to strengthen forensic science education and research through academic collaboration between the two universities.
  • The tie-up emphasizes advanced forensic tools, technology-driven methods, and strong STEM-based skill development.
  • Both institutions will work together in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, including incubation support and applied projects.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, to expand education, research, and technology use in forensic sciences. The agreement was signed in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel.

The partnership aims to give students and faculty from both universities access to advanced learning and research opportunities in forensic sciences. It will also promote the use of modern technology and scientific tools to strengthen forensic education and practice.

AKTU Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey said the collaboration between a technical university and a forensic sciences university will benefit society as a whole. He explained that forensic science depends heavily on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Strong technical education helps forensic professionals analyze evidence accurately, solve complex cases faster, and support the justice system with reliable results.

Under the MoU, AKTU and NFSU will work together in education, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Both institutions plan to encourage student and faculty participation in joint academic programs, research projects, and skill development initiatives.

Special focus areas will include forensic biology and serology, forensic chemistry and toxicology, and the examination of questioned documents and fingerprints. The collaboration will also support advanced research methods and the application of new technologies in forensic investigations.

In addition, the universities will cooperate in incubation and entrepreneurship activities. This will help students and researchers turn innovative ideas into practical solutions, startups, and technology-driven services in the forensic domain.
