Airtel Payments Bank Appoints Anuj Bansal as CFO
Airtel Payments Bank has appointed Anuj Bansal as its Chief Financial Officer, expanding its leadership team as the bank continues its rapid growth across various business lines. Anuj Bansal brings over 23 years of experience in financial services and other sectors, including automobiles. Before joining Airtel Payments Bank, Bansal held the position of Vice President for Financial Planning & Analysis at MasterCard India.
In his new role, Bansal will spearhead the overall financial strategy of Airtel Payments Bank, overseeing corporate financial planning, budgeting, supply chain, and treasury management. As a key member of the bank's executive committee, he will work closely with Anubrata Biswas, the Managing Director and CEO of Airtel Payments Bank.
Anubrata Biswas expressed confidence in the addition of Anuj Bansal to the leadership team, highlighting his extensive experience across different industries and deep domain knowledge. The appointment is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening Airtel Payments Bank's unique position in the Indian market.
Anuj Bansal's achievements include being recognized among the 'Top 100 finance professionals' in India by CFO India in December 2020. His diverse professional background includes roles at Max New York Life Insurance (now Max Life), Aviva Life Insurance Co. India Ltd., Royal Enfield (Unit of Eicher Motors), and other notable companies.
