Adani Total Gas and Jio-bp Join Forces to Redefine Auto Fuel Retail in India

In a move set to reshape India’s auto fuel retail landscape, Adani Total Gas Ltd and Jio-bp Reliance BP Mobility Ltd’s fuel retailing brand have entered into a strategic partnership to deliver a broader range of high-quality fuels through a collaborative infrastructure model.
Under the partnership, select Adani Total fuel stations will begin dispensing Jio-bp’s high-performance petrol and diesel products. In turn, certain Jio-bp outlets will integrate Adani Total’s compressed natural gas (CNG) units, particularly in areas where Adani Total holds distribution rights. This symbiotic alliance aims to offer greater fuel accessibility and premium mobility solutions for Indian consumers.
Adani Total Gas, a joint venture between the Adani Group and France’s TotalEnergies, is a key player in city gas distribution (CGD), servicing households, industries, and vehicles. The company has also expanded into clean mobility solutions, including Compressed Biogas (CBG), electric vehicle (EV) charging, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) for transport applications.
Meanwhile, Jio-bp a joint venture between Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and British energy giant bp is rapidly scaling its fuel retail network with around 2,000 outlets across India. Known for its low-carbon fuel offerings and retail innovations, Jio-bp aims to elevate the customer experience at fuel stations nationwide.
“This partnership allows us to leverage each other’s strengths to enhance the value we deliver”, said Sarthak Behuria, Chairman, Jio-bp. Suresh P. Manglani, CEO of Adani Total Gas, added, “We aim to provide a complete range of quality fuels and improve customer experience by maximising infrastructure synergies”.
Following the announcement, shares of Adani Total Gas rose by 0.29%, closing at Rs 633.65. The collaboration marks a major milestone in India’s journey toward smarter, cleaner, and more accessible mobility solutions.
