Adani Green Energy Expands Renewable Capacity with Gujarat Projects

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has marked a significant milestone in its clean energy journey with the successful commissioning of two major renewable energy projects in Gujarat, reinforcing its dedication to India's transition towards sustainable energy.

AGEL’s step-down subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight Limited, has completed the installation of a 62.4 MW wind power component as part of a larger wind-solar hybrid project located in Khavda, Gujarat. Simultaneously, another subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Twenty Four A Limited, has finalized a 112.5 MW solar power project in the same region, further contributing to AGEL’s renewable energy capacity.

With these new additions, AGEL has increased its total operational renewable energy capacity to 11,608.9 MW, underscoring its continued leadership in the clean energy sector. The projects were granted clearance for operation at 7:37 p.m. on December 28, 2024, and commenced power generation on December 29, 2024.

This achievement is a testament to AGEL’s ongoing commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and supporting India's clean energy mission, as the company works to build a sustainable future through innovative and large-scale energy solutions.
