In a powerful testament to community service and compassion, the Adani Foundation organized a nationwide mega blood donation drive on June 24 to commemorate the 63rd birthday of Group Chairman Gautam Adani. Spanning 206 cities across 21 states and two union territories, the initiative surpassed its previous record by collecting an impressive 27,661 units approximately 11,100 litres of blood.
The drive, conducted under the leadership of the Adani Healthcare team, witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees and partners of the Adani Group. The donated blood is expected to benefit over 83,000 patients through various life-saving components such as Whole Blood, PCV, Platelet Concentrates, Plasma, FFP, Cryoprecipitate, and Albumin.
“This incredible gesture of seva by our Adani Parivaar reflects the spirit of service that defines our mission”, said Dr Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation. “I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed”.
The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Red Cross blood banks and government hospitals, supported by more than 3,000 doctors, paramedics, data operators, and administrative staff.
For the first time, the drive extended internationally, with blood donation camps organized at Colombo West International Terminal (CWIT) Port, Sri Lanka, and Dar-es-Salam Port, Tanzania, where over 100 donors joined the cause.
Since 2011, this annual initiative has honoured Shri Gautam Adani’s philosophy of 'Seva hi Sadhana hai' (service is worship), reinforcing the Foundation’s dedication to inclusive and sustainable community development.
