Adani Electricity Launches India's First ADMS in Mumbai
Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd has unveiled India's first Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), housed in its Network Operations Centre (NOC) at Powai. With real-time analytics, the NOC can swiftly identify and address power disruptions, predict and prevent outages, and optimize power flow across the network. The ADMS collects data from a sensor network, providing a comprehensive view of the city's electricity infrastructure, enabling rapid fault detection and resolution.
The ADMS proves particularly beneficial for the 7,100 Customer Sub-Stations (CSS) in Mumbai, enhancing efficiency and reducing outage times during the upcoming summer months. The system aims to cut restoration times to 15-20 minutes from the current average of 34 minutes. Adani Electricity's Managing Director, Kandarp Patel, highlighted the positive impact on the city's power network, improving reliability, efficiency, and contributing to a greener future.
Partnering with Aspen Tech, Adani Electricity employs the OSI monarch software platform for digital transformation, optimizing assets for enhanced performance and sustainability. The ADMS platform not only addresses current challenges but is also designed for future readiness, offering advanced monitoring and maintenance practices for the benefit of its 31.5 lakh consumers in Mumbai.
