BANGALORE: Youth makes up majority of the population in most countries, which is why it is very important to pay attention to their welfare. According to the 2014 report by Global Youth Wellbeing Index, it shows that teenagers in countries with high incomes fare better than teenagers in low-income countries. This report shows the performance of countries as per the six domains: citizen participation, economic opportunities, education, health, information and communication technology and safety and security. So, let us take a sneak peak at the 10 best countries where youth enjoys their lives to the fullest.

10. Thailand: Famously known for its wonderful temples and wonderful food, Thailand is ranked 10 in the list for the best place for teens. This South-east nation also had the world’s largest economic growth rate.

Although Thailand is ranked very low for health, ITC and safety, this emerging economy provides many job opportunities to youth, which has led it to its very high scores in the economic opportunity domain.

9. Saudi Arabia: Being one of the countries that is categorized into the “high income economies” of the world, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is ranked ninth in the report. This “Land of the Two Holy Mosques” has a population of 21 million Arabs and 5 million foreigners and provides job opportunities for young students. Along with its very strong economy, Saudi Arabia also has high scores in the domains of health, education and technology.
