BANGALORE: The YouthfulCities INDEX, a global social venture ranks the world's top cities from a youth perspective, amplifying the voice of urban youth globally while inspiring change locally. It has worked with thousands of youth in 25 of the largest cities across the five major global regions to build a way to measure and locate cities from a youthful perspective. In India, out of its many cities, Mumbai is the only city to have included in this list. It has emerged as the 16th best cities for young people. Below listed are 7 such cities in the world that turns out to be youth friendly.

Toronto: Toronto situated on the shore of Lake Ontario is home to over two million people. It is Canada’s commercial capital and one of the world’s top financial centers. The city has a diverse array of public spaces, from city squares to public parks.

The city is also a major scene for theatre and other performing arts, with more than fifty ballet and dance companies. Toronto is also the home to post secondary academic institutions. This city which has a wide range of youthful activities has today emerged as the best city for youth.
Robert Barnard, cofounder of Youthful Cities said, “It’s a city that’s amongst the most diverse in the world. It’s got a great film and music scene and it’s on the leading edge of things like digital access. On an economic standpoint, it’s a pretty good place even up against its American competition,” reports Global News.
