U.S.-India Business Council Appoints Four New People

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-India Business Council has appointed Shekar Ayyar, Rajan Navani, Mallika Srinivasan, and David Taghioff to the USIBC Global board of directors.

FREMONT, CA: The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-India Business Council had selected four new people to be the part of the USIBC Global board of directors.

Shekar Ayyar, VMware executive vice president, Jetsynthesis CEO Rajan Navani, Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited chairman Mallika Srinivasan, and David Taghiof, Library Pictures International CEO will join the 35-member board.

USIBC President Nisha Biswal said Rajan Navani, Mallika Srinivasan, Shekhar Ayyar, and David Taghioff each bring an incredible depth of industry and leadership experience. In 2020, he looks forward to their guidance as they craft USIBC’s most determined agenda for engagement and advocacy to date.

All the four new appointments will offer insights for sector-specific work and across the council’s broader agenda.

In 2007, Ayyer joined VMWare and served as executive vice president and general manager of VMware’s Telco and Edge Cloud business unit.

Navani is the vice-chairman and managing director of the diversified Jetline Group of Companies, and the CEO of Jetsynthesis. Alongside he is chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry National Council on Future Businesses, national president of the Indian Digital Gaming Society, trustee of Aspen’s Ananta Center in India, and chairman of the CII Council on India@75. She is also a founding trustee of the India@75 Foundation.

Srinivasan is chairman of Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, where she has held different roles for 25 years with attention on product and process development. Srinivasan also works on the boards of AGCO Corporation-USA, TATA Steel Limited, and TATA Global Beverages Limited.

Taghioff has worked as CEO of a global local-language content financier, Library Pictures International (Library), since May 2019. Previously he also served as co-head of Global Client Strategy at leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency. He also served as a chief operating officer of the entertainment division at Octagon Inc in 2011.
