1. Azim Premji— 27,514 Crore

“The Czar of the Indian IT Industry”, Azim Premji heads the list of the most generous philanthropist once again for the year of 2015. He donated a total of 27,514 crore last year, through various charitable organizations.

The 70 year old Chairman of Wipro is also the founder of the Azim Premji Foundation, a non-profit organization established back in 2001 with a vision to achieve quality universal education for all. It currently works in-tandem with over 3,50,000 Schools across 8 states in India.
