Bangalore: ‘Freedom’ was a dream of every Indian during the pre-independence era. Each and every Indian fought in some way or the other during this period with a common motto of ending the British rule in India. After nearly a century of struggle, revolution, sacrifices, blood shedding and battles, we finally achieved independence on 15th August 1947. India was free from the colonial rule, but we lost many courageous men and women who were filled with undaunted spirit of patriotism and sacrificed their lives for our motherland. Their true spirit and undaunted courage withstood numerous tortures, hardships and exploitations to earn us freedom.
