Optimism Awaits Conscience: Analyzing Technical Unemployment

Technical UnEmployementBANGALORE: If you go back 100 years from now and tell a person that Apple has launched the new iPhone 6, enhanced by an M8 motion coprocessor and an efficient chip on which two billion transistors can assist you from monitoring your heartbeat to manage your finances, will anyone believe you?

Obviously, no one would have ever wondered that technology could transform the world to such a level, which was unimaginable at that time. Even though, this transformation has shown the human race tremendous things. Not only the charisma of technology has shrunk the world but it will eventually end it.  Believe it or not, we are hiding from the truth that emerging technologies are leading towards “Human Extinction”.

Irrespective of big or small, from doing simple math to carrying out our routine day-to day activities we are dependent for a technological help. Today, we think by using latest technology we have become smarter, but in reality its opposite we have become dumber.

Looking at the other pitfalls of technological advancements, the major drawback of it is- Technological Unemployment. Rightly said by Albert Einstein said, "Technological progress frequently results in more unemployment rather than in an easing of the burden of work for all."

Modern proponents of the technological unemployment concept argue that productivity has been decoupling from employment throughout the 21st century, as increasing numbers of industries are automating simultaneously.

In 2014, Pew Research canvassed 1,896 technology professionals and economists and found a split of opinion: 48 percent of respondents believed that new technologies would displace more jobs than they would create by the year 2025, while 52 percent maintained that they would not.

An innovation upheaval is quick supplanting individuals with machines, essentially in every segment and industry in the worldwide economy. This is happening all through the corporate world.

Even the developing countries are confronting the global issue of technological unemployment. This is high time to deal this matter with iron hands to safeguard human interests. No creature, auto bots have the ability to judge the right or wrong, human has. Optimism awaits Conscience!
