Obama Says US is the 'World Leader', Do You Think So Too?

Bangalore:  World’s most powerful nation’s president, Barack Obama has a lot to say about the present situation of his country. Obama believes that his country is on the right path and doing better than ever. Obama says that world has a "new feeling about America" and he also finds reasons for saying so. He expressed these views in a speech which was more like a self proclamation of America.

Obama made this impressive speech to jubilant graduates of the U.S. Air Force Academy. Graduating cadets and their families were present when Obama said they are part of next great "American Century."

Is Obama right when he proclaims about America’s growth and world leadership qualities? Or is he just weaving the re-election themes in to his speech?

Through the speech the American president claims that America has developed a “new confidence” in leading the people across the world and the world admires this.

Obama was quoted saying "Around the world, the U.S. is leading once more. From Europe to Asia, our alliances are stronger than ever. Our ties with the Americas are deeper. We're setting the agenda in the region that will shape our long-term security and prosperity like no other -- the Asia-Pacific," as Rediff news reported.

The president also pointed Air force graduates about the contribution that America has made for promoting global security.

He said, "Reducing our nuclear arsenals with Russia, even as we maintain a strong nuclear deterrent. Mobilizing dozens of nations to secure nuclear materials so they never fall into the hands of terrorists. And rallying the world to put the strongest sanctions ever on Iran and North Korea, which cannot be allowed to threaten the world with nuclear weapons."
