Mamata Banerjee:

When Mamata Banerjee began her reign in West Bengal, India expected to see the state better than it was under the CPM rule. However, ever since she became the Chief Minister of the state, news of violence by her government surfaced almost on a daily basis. She’s had imminent scientists and professors arrested. She even said a rape victim was faking it for political gains, while a cop proved that the victim wasn’t lying. And as a result of which Mamata promptly transfers her out of Kolkata.

From asking Facebook to delete her pictures to getting a professor arrested over her cartoon, the Trinamool Congress supremo has managed to make headlines for the most absurd reasons. She even banned English and mass-circulation Bengali dailies at state-sponsored and aided libraries and furthermore, did not want her party supporters to mix socially with anyone who belonged to or supported the CPM.
